After lunch we stopped by the house. We heard they were putting sod in this weekend, and lo and behold, they had! We have grass, at least on most of the lawn. I think they ran out as our side yard is bare. It looks good, though, and screams for a good watering and mowing. It's called ba-HEY-ah grass-- no idea what that means, but it's one of two kinds of grasses you can get down here. Believe it or not, the upgrade was St. Augustine grass which gives a lush grass appearance, but in reality is just a big old lawn of crabgrass. And that's the upgrade. We opted for the poor people grass, and we're happy with it.

We also have gutters now! The soffits were put in under the eaves a bit ago, and the gutters finish the look. They also ensure that we won't have a lake in our front porch when it rains.
