Quick Update!

So sorry for the delay, friends and family. I started at my new school yesterday... and cried the whole way home. Change is hard, and this is no exception. The school is a Godless place, and it's hard to be around such an environment. I miss my Christian Heritage community-- clear communication, professional-acting teachers, and most of all, warmth of heart. It was just a really rough day with lots of information and expectations loaded on big time. Ahh, government jobs. The amount of documentation I need to do is staggering-- enough to drive me to tears, actually. I teach because I love kids-- not because I love math nor paperwork. So last night I was seriously considering going to Red Lobster to see if I could be a waitress instead.

Ralph and Chris and Brad talked me down during dinner and were very encouraging. We do know that God made it clear this is what He has for us, and I need to remember all He has done to guide us here. It helps to get perspective sometimes.

Thanks for your support, all.

Quick house update-- they're going to pour the driveway this week! They also put coach lights on the outside of the driveway, but I think they're way off scale and too dinky, so we may replace those later. Things are coming along! Still no firm closing date...

Brad says "HELLO!" to all our faithful readers. He has been doing online classes nearly daily, and taking care of insurance and mortgage paperwork needs lately.

Sorry for the choppiness of this-- I'm brainless tonight.

Much love to you all!

Kathleen, I'm so sorry to hear about your hard first day...! Transition is really tough and we know it well, so we will be praying that your days will be better and better. It may not happen all at once, but slowly and imperceptibly (sp?) may Jesus usher you to place where you feel at home again!
