WE ARE HOMEOWNERS!!!!!

We closed yesterday!

Praise the Lord! After many moons of "six more weeks," our house is ready and we finally promised to be in debt for the next 30 years of our lives. The closing was typical of every other step of this journey-- rocky and treacherous, with a dash of frustrating thrown in. Brad has handled all of the details of the closing process (BLESS HIM!), from getting insurance, to negotiating with the mortgage company, to scheduling the closing. Each step has been full of frustration and seeming dead-ends, which makes us confident that the enemy knows that God will use this house to bless people. That is our prayer.

After the four-hour-long closing, we celebrated at the Macaroni Grill and then went home and napped for a bit. We later had dinner with the family (Jeff and Shelley were in town for Jeff's interview) and enjoyed being around everyone. After dinner we went up to the house and installed blinds in two of the kitchen windows before the timer rang to clean up and go home.

I promise to post pictures soon. We're moving in on Friday and Saturday and will be a tad busy getting things in order.

Thank you all for your support in this process!!!
