We gathered on Christmas Eve for "dinner" at 11:30 a.m. Brad had to leave in the early afternoon to go to band practice for the three evening services, so lunch came early.

We ate on the lanai and then rested for a little bit before Steph and I went to church as well. The table which took up nearly our whole dining room in Evanston is dwarfed by the big porch space, but it works nicely as an alterative dining area.

Steph and I worked in the nursery during the 5 p.m. and 6:30 services before attending the 8 p.m. service. By the time we all got home we were exhausted. We climbed into bed and woke up late to open presents on Christmas. Here we are in front of our tree.
