in Naples, an upscale town in southwest Florida. Beside the line is a
table of discounted books.
Overheard: (reading the title of one of the books on the table)
Accomplishments of African Americans? That's a six-pager.
Brad: (chuckles like anyone would do when a stranger attempts a funny)
-pause-
Brad: (realizing the shocking degree of offensiveness, turns around to
address the speaker) Did you just make that comment about the book?
Man in line: Yeah.
Brad: That was offensive!
Man: (interrupting to try to improve his funny) Blah blah...
Brad: That was really offensive!
Man: Ha ha
