Quite a morning it has been. We are exceedingly sad to learn that our friend Mark passed away last night. His wife, Ruth, has kept up their blog throughout Mark's illness and has been an incredible inspiration to us. www.thejackson4.com .
On our way to church we ran over a snake in the street in front of our house and it broke in half. The back half kept jumping around as the front half lay still. Brad got it all on video. Maybe I'll post it later. Pretty cool for boys, really gross for girls, to make a sweeping generalization. Oh, and then when Brad got out to look at it, the head snapped back at him, still moving. Ewww. Made us nearly lose our breakfasts. It was just a little guy, but still.
And we learned we're not Episcopalians. But my former assistant principal was the guy serving communion.
All in all, a very odd morning. Now we're off for a long Sunday afternoon nap.
