It's raining jobs!

Good news! Brad was offered the position at the university today! We're thrilled and excited and relieved and praising God for this good news. He starts the day after we return from Chicago, so we have a few more weeks together at home. It's going to be a great fit for him, we think. Woo hoo!

I also got good news from a dear friend who has been facing the end of a reallllly long tenure at a great job. Her boss has accepted a promotion at a different location, leaving her unemployed. She knew he was pursuing this promotion for a few years now, and lately it had been looking good for him but it has been scary and sad to consider the change and uncertainty. However, the boss's new boss asked today what my friend was going to do, and that he might have a position for her! At a pay raise! And it has benefits, like health insurance! It's not a sure thing yet, but just a really awesome possibility.

And my friend Kate from Purdue just announced that she's accepted an offer! To teach English! In HONG KONG! In August! Thrilling. Exciting.

(Um, God? Am I on the list of people-to-receive-jobs? Just wondering.)

With Brad's job come six free credit hours per semester... which has me thinking seriously about my future and educational possibilities. Should I go for a masters in school counseling? Masters in regular counseling? Get my engineering degree? Consider something entirely different? I'm all over the place today. Oh- I also got an email from a recruiter for an actuary position, which I proceeded to research. So that's in the mix as well. My calculus is rusty and I had a horrible experience in statistics in college, but... maybe? I mean, from what I can see it's mathy, and has leadership, communication, etc., components... So I'm just all over the place, praying for guidance... and celebrating with my husband!
