Impromptu Pancake Party, and other such fun

Last Saturday Bethany had the girls by herself and called to see if we wanted to go eat with them. Both being on budgets we agreed to eat in-- pancakes at our house. Kena was eager to help, "Let ME do it!", with Kaya close behind.

Kaya thought her little bum would fit just perfectly on that bottom shelf. Does this cart look familiar, Rich and Jen?

Open wide, Uncle Bwad. (Did I tell you about Kena's difficulty with relationship words? I came over a few weeks ago and she kept asking me, "Where's your dad? Where's your dad?" meaning Brad. We explained the difference between dads and husbands, but I think she has a little ways go to on that one.) Oh, and that's not actually parmesan cheese I have out for the pancakes. I keep powdered sugar in there.

And last Sunday after church we tried a new place with our new friend Kent from church. I liked it a lot-- saffron rice, marinated chicken, sauteed onions and peppers, creamy dill yogurt sauce, pita. Brad, not so much.
