Um, so we have some visitors at good old Berryman Street. See, when Tropical Storm Fay came we boarded up the house. Since there have been several storms in the meantime, we've left a few boards up. The boards are bolted to the house, with a few fingerholes for holding the thing up while we screw it in. Apparently a large family of bees felt like making one window home.
Our master bathroom window is about 18 inches wide by 30 inches tall. The space between the recessed window and the board is about 3 inches deep. That volume is about a third full with bees. Today we're having Carroll the Bee Man come out and take a look. If they are "fine European honey bees" it won't cost us a dime for removal. Fingers crossed.
