Miles traveled on Day Two: about 610Tires blown near us: 2
Rainbows spotted: 1
If you look carefully, you can see the rainbow in the picture. We ran into a bit of rain on Wednesday, but nothing too bad. Early in the day we saw rubber hurtling through the air-- a coach bus had blown a tire. We thanked God for safety! Not long after, a car in front of us blew a tire, and again shredded rubber flew around. We felt divinely protected.
Atlanta was by far the worst bit of traffic we saw. We hit Atlanta around 5 p.m., and although it was rush hour, it wasn't too bad. What was bad was the driving of the other people! They made Chicagoans look like angels! They changed lanes willy-nilly and cut people off like crazy. We were very glad to get out of there.
We stopped in Valdosta, Georgia after a dinner at Cracker Barrel. Mmm, mmm... chicken and dumplings.
