Last Saturday, brother- and sister-in-law Beth and Rico were packing in preparation for their move. We took baby Makena out of their hair for the day and did some Christmas shopping. She's such a delightful baby with a bubbly personality and huge charming smiles. When we got home we did the best we could to entertain her, and we thought what better way than in a big box with Uncle Brad? Well, Kena didn't agree. She thought we were trapping her and put up a fuss.



She's a tall, skinny baby who is a picky eater. We tried to stuff whatever we could into her to fill her belly. Applesauce, yes. Chicken, heck no. That was spit out immediately with a sour face. But wonder of wonders, we hit the jackpot with an Eggo waffle. She ate the whole thing!
