Seriously.

So since Boss isn't here, Colleague decides to open the front and back doors to "get some air."  (She wouldn't do that if he was here as he always tells her to close them.)  What that does is make the hallway cool where the thermostat is located, which means the air conditioning never kicks on and my windowless office becomes an oven.  We've been over this numerous times.  So I confronted her gently and asked if she was hot.  A hair bit, she said.  Ok, then let's turn on the air, I say.  Opening the doors has the opposite effect.  To which she scowled at me.

But logic is never universal, just as common sense isn't anywhere near common.  So after a snarky look and some rude remarks from her, I told her I was closing the doors and turning down the air.

I realized in that exchange that she is simply unwilling to come to an agreement.  She would rather just have the same argument over and over instead of creating peace.  I forgot that people like that exist.  Makes me sad for her.  Didn't Einstein say that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results?  Well, that gives credence to my theory that she is a bit off her rocker.
