Our cooking experiments

Here are the pics I told you about. I preheated the skillet before pouring in the onions, peppers, and chicken, resulting in a nice steam effect, much like the restaurant. Except the steam was a bit prolific and we were a bit afraid that our ceiling would be fajita-ed.

Here is Brad trying out his special salsa. It turned out a bit hotter than we wanted and a little heavy on the cumin, but lacking in onion flavor. So Brad added a few more onions. Yum!

And the fajita flavor was good. Nothing like chili's, but good. Chili's is sweeter, more like a teriyaki. We'll make some adjustments next time.

And we learned how the flavors marry overnight. We put the leftover salsa in the fridge and tried it for dinner on Saturday. Whooooa onions. We need to work on the proportions a bit, but we're on our way.
