I got a phone call today from a reporter at the local paper. I had written him back in March to let him know of my unconventional, grass-roots approach to home-selling when I organized the neighborhood-wide open house. I thought perhaps he'd like to cover the story, and not-all-that-altruistically, I hoped he'd mention it and give me some free advertising.
So I heard nothing for six months, and then got a call today. We talked for a while about the market, about the housing prices, about Brad's and my situation, and he said he was going to write a story and include us. It is to be in tomorrow's paper. He said he would try to get the name of our house blog in the story (great-house-4-sale.blogspot.com), or at the very least in the online version. So I tidied up the house blog tonight, hoping for lots of traffic tomorrow. We'll be down here for the school year at least, but it would be great to sell it and rent something for the time being. We shall see.
