A Sunday Adventure

We played hooky from church today and opted for a little day trip instead. We drove out to Pine Island and up to Bokeelia to a little restaurant on the water. Mom and I went out there last year and found that their coconut cream pie was the best ever.

Someone's excited about her coconut cream pie!

Oh, just chock full of coconut!

Brad: Kath, your eyes look really cool in this light. They have a black outline and then the iris is lighter brown.
Kath: Really? Here, I'll open my eyes really wide. You take a picture so I can see.

After eating we went out to walk on the pier. I took a pic on the sly of a local fisherman trying to catch mullet. Pardon the bottom.

"I love that my wife is a blogger. I love that my wife is a blogger. Really I do. I love that she always takes pictures of me."

Really, the name of the town is Bokeelia. But we saw signs with Bocilla, also. I'm not sure what that's about. This was our parking spot. Over that little bitty curb is... water. Really bad place to forget which pedal is the brake and which is the gas. We didn't.

We stopped at a yard sale of a guy who carves totem poles. This is his mailbox.
