In other flora and fauna news...

So we've had bees, and we've also had problems with Apples. My Apple computer, to be exact. It crashed and died on Saturday night, complete with whirring, screeching, and multiple black screens asking us to restart. Brad tried to wipe it clean and reinstall the operating system, but it would not cooperate. RIP, my lovely machine. It's now at the Apple store being sent to Houston to see about repair. However, since we were going to buy a new computer for me next summer, we just jumped the gun and did it now.

It's a lovely MacBook Pro, with all the bells and whistles I'll need. And, the brilliant thing is that my amazing husband recently got our back-ups all organized, so I didn't lose many documents.

We got to do a three-person video chat, with me in my office, Brad in his office (20 feet away) and sister Steph (not like a nun, just my sister) in Chicago!

BIG THANK YOU to my grandparents who thought they were giving us money to help pay for grad school. It went to this computer, Grandmother and Grandfather, and we are so very grateful!
